Winter In The Woods

 

Around the house today

A cold wind blows

Leafless trees

Beyond the window pane

 

Wet black branches

Contrast draped

With leached white

Spanish moss

 

Gusting sways the trees

Shivering the moss fronds

Where they hang.

A few raindrops spatter
