Winter In The Woods

 

Around the house today

a cold wind blows

leafless trees

beyond the window pane

 

wet black branches

contrast-draped

with bleached white

Spanish moss

 

Gusting sways the trees

shivering the moss fronds

where they hang.

cold raindrops spatter.
