than just physical stuff around us, to the underlying realities of existence. So these metaphysical poems may not make much sense to materialists or those of you that think the physic(al) stuff is all there is to life

And if you looked in any of the other categories I used and thought that a poem there belongs among the metaphysicals, perhaps so but to use the other part of Aristotle's description of metaphysics, these poems are here in the metaphysical section because they are not somewhere else.

 

 

.....OK so what is metaphysical poetry, what does it mean to be metaphysical? Seems to me when I google it, that there are as many ideas about this as there are philosophers, but what all the high flying words meant is that it (metaphysics that is) is about a connection to something more
