Navarro Beach
Expatrius
I come from a land
Of childhood dreams
A place of gentle vision
Seen through lowly eyes.
Where the wind walks
Through the wild wood
While a drizzle
Slowly falls.
I left my place of safety
To go out into beyond:
No longer just awakened,
No, now I'm really here
Later, when it's over,
I will go back to quiet havens
Where bright swallows
Swoop and dip.
If I can last, another day
Will come with yellow light,
Draw me close again into
The place I used to know.
