Dream on, Carl Gustav

Dream crumbs, memory fragments

Scattered on my bed quilt

Fallen as sleep dropped them

Before being swept away

With sunlight dust of day

Into unremembering

Tangled interwoven threads

Implacably connected waking

With dream-time ego unawarenesss

Where, in dark mind corners

Discerned sub with id converges

Through this thought-thin fabric

Tantalizing unwilled glimpses stranded

Isolated yet from image’d archetype,

Iconic self revealed reality

Inner usigh bheath* through

Mind porous artesian fount

Compensates life’s unmet desires

*usigh bheath Gaelic for waters of life
