Work
Decision
I stand in the gates and wait
Sandals on feet and staff in hand
All dressed for travel, for now I must go
Follow my path from here to the end
My staff has grown roots and sandals are lame
As warm hearth of home has kept me enslaved
Held me its prisoner in comfort’s tight bonds
Now, have I resolve to carry it through
I wanted to go and I knew that I should
But this day I wonder if ever I could
Take that first step where others had gone
Would I have courage, or will my nerve fail?
And, does it matter or not I have doubts
For I have to go when daybreak comes
Take courage from others along the same path
As we march to the future by Pilgrims Way
