Christmas ’04

I’ll be home for christmas

I heard it in a song

Seemed a good idea

So I thought I’d string along

Go to see my brother

Still living over there

See him and several others

I haven’t visited for years

Catch a plane on Price Line,

Been making plans through fall

Catch up with this family of mine

Before we all forget about each other

Take my daughter with me,

there are cousins she’s not met

it’s time for her to find

her English heritage

buying gifts or packing

as well as working every day

time’s the thing I’m lacking

there doesn’t seem to be enough

Only two full days remain

By then it must be done.

Then, its off to catch the plane and

To the vagaries of travel.
