Appointment

See a winter starscape

Shining thinly through a veil

Draw aside the unseen curtain

And look deep into beyond

By the seam that marks the fringes

Where the seen and unseen meet

With silent salutation

From the broadcloth of our world

Put aside both time and place

Without a thought of appetite

Step up and feed the hunger

Slowly gnawing at your bones

Kindle once again to flame

Your smoking wick of spirit-fire

Hidden deep beneath flesh clothing

There, where soul and spirit join

Take care, protect your spark of laughter

Even fan it into flickering flame

Guard your mystic inner threshold

Life-cares breath blows cold

I'll meet you somewhere out beyond

The edge of everything I ever knew or dreamed

We can share a timeless moment there alone

Stolen out of history space and time
