Alive ‘Live Oh’s
Scratch an Irish folk song on my fiddle
One about sweet, tragic Molly M.
Discovered how I couldn’t find
Fingers would not make
Nor memory recall
The alive ‘live oho’s
Where they were
I used to know
But where they’ve gone
I could not say
Just know that now, today
I lost the alive ’live oho’s
Went to play another day
Not a falter, not a qualm
Not a moment’s hesitate
Memory knows and fingers shape
Hear again my alive ‘live oho’s
